The Sims Freeplay: French Romance Event

This is a new event that first appeared in in th French Romance update in 2017. It unlocks a French Château and ‘French-styled’ furniture. You will have 12 days to complete this event (even if you have VIP Perks you will not be able to add a time extension). If you don’t finish it within the time limit, don’t worry because it will probably come back soon.

This event is the similar to the Romance Island, Spa and The Prince & The Pocket-Sized Princess event, however this event does not have a global progress tab.

When the event start some there will be a set of tasks you have to follow. At some point you will need to buy some candle stations. You can buy candle stations from the Home Store, in the Events Tab. These are the prices of the candle stations:

• 1/4 = Free
• 2/4 = 2,000Simoleons
• 3/4 = 4,000Simoleons
• 4/4 = 10,000Simoleons

Once you have placed the stations in a lot, you will need to collect some candles. To collect candles tap on the station and select collect candles (for the first time it will only take a few seconds to do this). The second time you collect candles you will need to select one of the four options. The four options are:

• 250 candles = 2hrs 30mins
• 360 candles = 4hrs 30mins
• 455 candles = 6hrs 30mins
• 510 candles = 8hrs 30mins

When a Sim is collecting, a small image of the item your collecting will appear by your Sim. This is a bonus, it will only give you a few items if you click on it but can help.

One of the tasks will tell, you to restock the station. You can use 10SP for 14 uses or take 10secs for 2 uses. After this task it will take 2hrs 30mins for 7 uses or 10SP for 14.

When you click on the circle in the top left corner of the screen you will see that there is two tabs. The main tab is the Personal Progress tab, where you can see your progress and purchase new items. The next tab is the Daily Goals tab, where you can earn constructor coins and candle from doing certain tasks each day. In the Personal    Progress tab you will be able to purchase the Mood Lighting pack aswell as many other item packs.

Another task will tell you to spin the Event Spin Flower. This can be done by going into the Events Tab in the Home Store and buying a coin flower patch (which is free every time you buy it). Click on the coin flower patch and select the free spin plant. When you spin the flower it will give you constructor coins.

 

You will also be able to buy Laura Craft to help you collect craft items (she will take 8hrs to grind all the craft). Although, she costs £4.99 and will disappear once the event has finished.

 

If you forget which lot you put the stations in, the house will have a heart icon that flashes every so often.

Warning: if you put a station in your inventory and it still has stocks/uses left it will get rid of them, so when you place it on a lot from the inventory you will have to restock it!
